Our holiday apartment is located in Saffig, in the heart of a diverse region that has a lot to offer nature lovers, families, culture enthusiasts and active holidaymakers.

🌋 The fascinating world of the Volcanic Park

The region around Saffig is characterized by the unique volcanic landscape of the Eastern Eifel. In the Volcanic Park, visitors can discover the history of volcanism and the formation of the landscape.

Particularly worth seeing are the Lava Dome and the lava cellars in Mendig, the Roman mine Meurin, the Grubenfeld adventure park in Mayen, and the Volcano Park information center in the region. Numerous hiking and cycling trails also invite visitors to actively explore the landscape.

💦 The geyser in Andernach

A true highlight of the region is the Andernach Geyser. After visiting the interactive museum, a boat trip takes you to the Namedyer Werth nature reserve. There, the world's tallest cold-water geyser shoots its fountain up to 60 meters high – an impressive experience for young and old alike.

🏰 Koblenz & the German Corner

Just a short trip away lies Koblenz, one of the most beautiful cities at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. The Deutsches Eck (German Corner), Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Koblenz's old town, and the cable car across the Rhine offer numerous options for a varied day trip.

The official Neuwied tourist information office lists the Andernach Geyser, the Volcanic Park, Sayn Castle, the Sayn Climbing Forest, and the Roman World as regional attractions.
